Appeals

If you ever dispute a judge’s decision, you may be able to contest this at the Court of Appeals or the Supreme Court.  The review of a District Court decision by the Court of Appeals is very limited in scope and will only be viewed to determine whether the judge acted beyond the scope of their authority or misapplied the law.  A revision of a Court of Appeals decision by the Supreme Court will only be considered in a few circumstances, such as whether the decision will help develop or clarify the law, or the decision addresses the constitutionality of a statute.  Contact Jenna to discuss your options for an appeal of a District Court or Court of Appeals decision.
